  • Fixed a bug when collapsing the category filter list on the problem details view.
  • Improved detail in file when exporting problems to CSV file.
  • Fixed a problem when cancelling repair when snapshot was not able to be created properly.
  • Occasionally the repair operation was hanging up after completing and the cursor would stay as an hourglass, although it was finished.
  • Registration keys are no longer case sensitive making it easier to type them in manually.
  • Fixed an ACL permission issue where Windows was blocking the application from fixing certain problems.
  • Viewing some problems after scanning was causing a non-fatal error to display "the path is not of a legal form" when trying to view that error's details.
  • Fixed an issue causing some problems in the Font Files category to not be repaired correctly.
  • Improved the system to ignore certain errors that the user doesn't want to repair.
  • Fixed an issue with minimizing the Start Center that was causing the window to appear as it shouldn't.
  • Fixed an issue with installations causing upgrading to reset some settings for some users.

  • Significant changes were made to some components in the installation setup file. It is recommended that you uninstall prior versions before installing this version.
  • Made changes to the Registration/About window to indicate the email address is needed when entering the registration key.
  • Fixed an issue on the System Repair application that was preventing automatic error repairing in some instances from the "simple scan" option.
  • 15 new errors were added to the System Repair operation's database.
  • Changed source of automatic updates to point to localized CDNs for faster updates for non-US users. Updates will now come from local servers around the globe.
  • Fixed a bug on Start Center that was causing "False" to be displayed instead of the proper text in the Help panel.
  • Fixed a bug in the OneClick application that was causing the system to hang up before a repair operation started.

  • Fixed an issue with a dependency for disk defrag/optimization that was failing to load correctly on some machines.
  • Added a link to Undo/Restore in the System Repair menu to allow quick access to backups of each repair operation.
  • Added a fix that overrides the Windows system restore points from being created only every 24 hours. New restore points will always be created before a repair operation, regardless of the amount of time since the last restore point created.
  • Added a link to the changelog on the PC Repair Tools updater.
  • Minor UI (user interface) tweaks were made.

    XP Repair Pro has been rebranded as PC Repair Tools. As technologies change, the name XP Repair Pro was causing confusion with many of our customers. Although the name has changed, and the product has been greatly improved, XP Repair Pro will forever live on as PC Repair Tools, continuing its core job of fixing computers around the world.
